Diferencias entre Too & Enough
Con too and enough expresamos cantidades demasiado y suficiente. A parte del uso como determinante de cantidad, pueden funcionar solos aplicando su significado a toda la frase. Te explicamos los usos con ejemplos y no olvides realizar tus ejercicios.
✅ Too
Usamos too cuando queremos decir que algo es más de lo que necesitamos o queremos, cuando es demasiado too puede acompañar a un adjetivo, adverbio o a un nombre contable o incontable:
- Too + adjective/adverb
John is three, he is too young to read.
You are driving too quickly.
- Too + adjective/adverb + for someone + infinitive
This exam is too easy for me to do.
They are talking too quickly for me to understand
- Too + much + uncountable noun
There are too much furniture in the living room.
- Too + many + plural contable noun
There are too many plants in the garden.
- Too + much/many + noun + for someone + infinitive
There are too much food for me to eat.
✅ Enough
Usamos enough cuando queremos decir que hay (o no hay) suficiente de algo.
enough puede acompañar a un adjetivo o un adverbio y también a un nombre:
- Adjective/adverb + (not) enough (+ infinitive)
Nobody is old enough to learn a new language.
Sara is not playing well enough to win the tennis match.
- Adjective/adverb + enough + for someone + infinitive
This pool is big enough for me to swim.
- Enough + noun
There is enough water in the glass.
